S-BAHN HALTESTELLE DÜSSELDORF BILK

TO BALLETT AM RHEIN (VIA BUSSTOP DÜSSELDORF-BILK S)

Ca. 950 Meter / 5 minutes by bus and foot

HOW TO GET THERE

When leaving the train on platform 2, turn left against the direction of travel and follow the guide line. After approx. 45 meters, we follow the guiding line to the right at the attention field and follow this line to the junction to the left to go down the stairs into the reception hall. After 15 steps there is a landing, after another 14 steps there is another landing and after another 15 steps we are in the reception hall and arrive at an attention field. On 12 o'clock we follow the guiding line for about 20 meters. Then we turn left on 9 o'clock and follow the guiding line for 4 meters. Then we turn to 3 o'clock and follow the guideline for another 4 meters. We are now at the main exit of the reception hall of the Düsseldorf-Bilk S-Bahn station.

Alternatively, we can use the elevator to get to the reception hall. To use the elevator, we have to exit at platform 2 to the left against the direction of travel, follow the guiding line straight ahead after 45 meters and take the elevator down to the reception hall. Attention! - On the way to the elevator there are boxes approx. 1.50 m high, which block the guideline track somewhat and must be avoided. The guiding line leads to the elevator and we ride down. At the elevator exit, we keep to the right to be led out of the reception hall to the main exit via the tactile guiding system.

There is no tactile guiding system directly at the exit. There may be some bikes in the way and there are some bikes chained to the display board at the exit. On 12 o'clock we walk straight ahead for about 13 meters. We then turn diagonally on 10 o'clock and walk straight ahead for 5 meters. We come across a line of small attention panels with studs and keep to the left of the line as there is a cycle path on the right. We continue straight ahead. After about 17 meters there is a first bollard and a second bollard after another 1.5 meters. The line with the attention fields ends and we continue straight ahead. The path is quite narrow here. We walk between the acoustic traffic lights on our right and a long road post with two garbage cans on our left. We continue straight ahead for 40 meters and meet the guidelines at the Düsseldorf-Bilk S-Bahn bus stop. We take the 835 bus for two stops to Merowingerstraße.

We get off at Merowingerstraße and walk straight ahead for 3 meters, where we arrive at a guiding line. Ideally, we should take the farthest door when getting off, because a bench further ahead and a post with the departure times to the right of the bench block the direct access to the guide line. At the guide line, turn right at 3 o'clock, against the direction of travel, and walk straight ahead. Where the guideline ends, we walk 5 meters along a small patch of grass. The small patch of grass is then interrupted for 6 meters. Then there is another section of meadow for 3 meters. At the end of the second patch of grass we turn at 3 o'clock to the road crossing. At the road crossing there are attention fields with lines and no acoustic traffic lights. We keep left at the crossing and cross the first part of the road. Halfway across, there is a central island with attention fields with lines. We cross the second part of the road and arrive at the bus stop on the opposite side between two bollards.

 We turn to 9 o'clock and walk straight ahead past the bollards on the right. After approx. 3 meters you will see the guiding line of the bus stop on that side of the road. We follow the guideline straight ahead for 20 meters to the attention field with lines and follow the junction at 3 o'clock to the right, which leads us to an attention field with dots. We walk straight ahead for about 8 meters until the guideline ends at a small brick wall. We turn left at 9 o'clock and follow the wall for about 10 meters. We turn right at 3 o'clock and walk straight ahead for 13 meters along or on the sidewalk, keeping to the right if possible, as there are two driveways on our left where cars park and drive in and out. Cars can also drive out of the Ballett am Rhein site.  The sidewalk is then interrupted by about 10 meters of vegetation. We then continue straight ahead for 35 meters and can orient ourselves by a fence on the right-hand side.

After 35 meters we are on the grounds of the Ballett am Rhein, where there is a row of parking spaces about 2 meters behind us on the left, as well as 40 meters away on the opposite side of the grounds, i.e. parallel to us. We turn diagonally on 10 o'clock and walk straight ahead for 45 meters. We are at the entrance to the Ballett am Rhein and stand in front of a double door where there is no automatic door opener. We walk 3 meters straight ahead and stand in front of the next double door. We are now in the Ballett am Rhein building. To our right is the reception and to our left the foyer with tables and seating. If we walk straight ahead for about 2 meters at 11 o'clock, we come to a corridor where there is a ladies' toilet on the left and a men's toilet 2 meters further on. To get to the wheelchair-accessible toilet, we have to walk 10 meters to the left from the entrance at 9 o'clock and then turn around at 3 o'clock and walk 5 meters straight ahead. Studio 1 is located on the left-hand side from the main entrance about 50 meters further down straight ahead.
