What limits does the corset of an archaic, ritualized society impose? In the two-part dance evening "Face Me - Le Sacre du printemps" by Ester Ambrosino of the Tanztheater Erfurt, the scope of action of the individual under different social conditions is illuminated. For the ritual sacrifice of "Le Sacre du printemps", a young girl is chosen and has to dance herself to death in order to appease the god of spring. Igor Stravinsky's famous composition, full of densely interwoven motifs and gripping rhythm, revolutionized the aesthetic perspectives at the time of its premiere and still fascinates today with its sheer force.
